WELCOME & THANK YOU for visiting my new website. I'm so very excited to share this new chapter of my musical journey AND my second collection of soul songs OUT NOW! Beautiful melodies and lyric have surfaced while I kept busy as Vancouver's gypsy-jazz Chanteuse and adding vocal "sugar" to Grateful Dead tribute GD/BC. I've had to re-focus, to slow down and listen deeper, to process my own healing more fully and to honour my inner voice. This felt like the perfect time for a fresh start and a fresh website. 

Our world needs us all to shine as brightly as we can with our gifts, our compassion and our kindness.

Herstory - a new chapter

In the unfolding narrative of her life, Deanna emerges in a new chapter as a multifaceted artist—a singer, songwriter, event producer, B&B hostess, and cultural maven. Her musical journey encompasses a rich tapestry of genres, from swingin' big band to gypsy-jazz, psychedelic rock to sacred ceremony. A long-awaited sophomore album, once again featuring top Canadian musicians and a genre-fluid collection of new songs was released to enthusiastic audiences in both her hometown of Gibsons and The Rogue Folk Club in Vancouver. Celebrated alongside an all-star Vancouver based band and cabaret of talented friends. 

Nestled in the Sunshine Coast of BC since 2017, Deanna stays active with her performance while presenting popular and emerging artists in various local venues as well as the garden of her top rated B&B SoulShine Garden Concert Series stage. With a deep history in Vancouver's gypsy-jazz scene and a founding role in the Canadian Jam Band scene, Deanna's artistic evolution continues, harmonizing with the human soul and our precious Earth.
