Vancouver’s Hot Club of Mars has been swinging for quite a few spins around the sun (a few dozen Earth years or so), though things really started heating up when chanteuse Deanna Knight landed on Martian soil in 2002. This high-energy acoustic ensemble inspires toe-tapping and swing dancing with some fabulous vintage swing, bossa, tango and more. Enjoy songs from the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s, plus off-beat new music and unforgettable songs with uniquely infectious rhythms. Adding a magic sparkle to the sound, “D” also writes tunes with as much pizzazz as when she delivers them!
