GD~BC hits the Coast for 3 Shows!

Catch GD~BC on our little Coastal Mini Tour. 3 Shows to choose from!

This project comes as a surprise to some of you who may be new to my music. It is actually taking me full circle to the early 90′s when I co-founded one of Canada’s finest jam bands The FatCats (who are still truckin’ along) This was an original project inspired by the songs of The Grateful Dead and to this day play live to a very “deadicated” following.

The mixed reaction I get when I mention this project proves to me that The Dead is somewhat mis-understood. Perhaps it is the colourful scene that surrounded the band or the experience of a really lousy live recording or just the name itself. In truth – it is not for everyone but I love the eclectic songs that mix psychadelia, blues, folk, country, rock ‘n’ roll and jazz to create an incredibly unique rock sound. The songs are heartfelt and fun to dance to and I have the pleasure of adding a sweet 3rd harmony to the already solid vocals of Gord Kushner and Brad Tidswell. Eric Stephenson is one of Vancouver’s finest bass players and keeps our groove solid alongside  Jeffrey Kornblum on percussion and Noel Peters on drums. AND I get to return to the stage with original FatCats keyboard player Tyler Gibson.  All in all….this is a side project that is fun for me and serendipitously brought together all my fav Vancouver jammers in one band. A nice break from centre stage though I do sing lead on a song from time to time :)

If you know fans of this music or folks open to a good time…please help spread the word on the Coast…Robert’s Creek on Friday, Powell River on Saturday and Gobsons afternoon on Sunday!!! Perhaps we will see YOU on the dance floor “shakin’ you bones”
